“ I'm not vegan myself but this place was so good! It felt like guilt free healthy food. Everyone was so nice and welcoming. It was quick too and the inside was cozy and relaxing. My favorite was the pizza it was so good and perfect amount of sauce. I also like their organic spicy sauce that was really yummy. Coming back here again! ”
“ Nice, quiet farmhouse vibe. Service was great and staff were friendly. Best Vegan food I've had in LA. We will return again to try more of the menu. ”
“ Great place for brunch! Lots of savory and sweet options for everyone and we enjoyed what we ordered. I loved the chicken and waffles and my mom enjoyed her skillet. The ambiance was cute with lots of indoor and outdoor options. We sat in a small private room that looked out into the patio. Service was okay- they didn't have enough water glasses for our table which wasn't ideal and it took a while for us to pay our bill. They were super busy and I would definitely come back and try Sun Cafe again to see if service is better. ”
“ The main reason I went there was because I wanted to try their pot pie and sea cakes(jackfruit), but looks like those were dinner items and cannot be served during brunch hours. So keep that in mind if you find something interesting on the menu. I liked their avocado toast and breakfast panini. Vegan sausage tasted good , ordered with side is mashed potato which had delicious gravy on top I did not like their coffee though Did came after almost 30 min of ordering. Server had thanked a couple of times for our patience though, and we were in no hurry, so I didn't mind it. Toilets were not very clean, and Easter tap in one of toilets was not working ”
“ I've been driving past this place for years and I'm so happy I finally went in! The patio is cozy with a fire pit, plants and cat face pillows. The server was friendly and the happy hour had tons of choices. All vegan! I especially enjoyed the mini nachos. the falafels were some of the best ever. I can't wait to go back! ”
“ SunCafe is a hidden gem that has quickly become one of my favorite spots! This plant-based cafe offers a delightful array of dishes that cater to both vegans and non-vegans alike. The vibe is cozy and welcoming, with lots of natural light and a laid-back atmosphere that makes it perfect for a casual meal or a catch-up with friends. The Mac and cheese is amazing!!!! The ambiance is truly beautiful and there is a fire going in the evening. The larger seating area could be good for large parties or birthday gatherings! The service is always great here. Love the breakfast options here too! If you're in the area and looking for a healthy, delicious meal, I highly recommend SunCafe! I can't wait to go back and explore more of their menu. ”
“ What a gem within the city! We had just spent a long day of walking and riding at Universal Studios and it was pretty late by the time we reached the car.... We had 2 vegetarian's and 1 that will eat anything, so we wanted something beyond standard chain fast food. I did a quick Yelp search, of course, and discovered SunCafe. I was actually pretty surprised to see they were still open given that it was nearly 11 pm. We were greeted, seated, and served promptly. I was told that I could order anything from desserts to cocktails. . . We ordered as a group. . . 1 Daring Thai Mandarin Salad 1 Charged Amethyst (cocktail) 1 Avocado toast with Beleaf Bacon 1 Super Sun Salad I had the avocado toast and it was DELICIOUS! I would definitely return to eat just this!! They have an enormous menu with so many veggie options. Prices are fair but not cheap. Dining experience was very pleasant. I will definitely bookmark SunCafe for future L.A. visits Thank you for reading! ”
“ Excellent service. The server was very friendly and welcoming. I really love the decor of the place too. Lots of cute animal art and decor. The menu... wow! It was jam packed with the usual diner food except every single thing was vegan! I couldn't decide so I went with what the table next to me had- Sun Breakfast Plate with BeLeaf Bacon. I've always wanted something savory to go along with French toast but most places make you order those things separately. Not here! You get your sweet and savory in one plate. Also, Sun Cafe serves Just Egg which is a nice treat! I am definitely coming back next time I'm in town! ”
“ Underneath the SunCafe Organic sun! This beautiful Studio City meets Universal City all plant-based veganlicious gem is full of charm, ambiance and bliss... Already planning my next visit. I've been coming to SunCafe for years and each time it gets better. They're even great for takeout and delivery, but there's nothing like the sit down full experience from start to finish :) Located off Ventura Boulevard heading east from Vineland Avenue, just past Campo de Cahuenga and right near the residential adjacent corner of Fruitland Drive/Ventura Blvd - you can find local street parking, metered (no pay on Sundays) along Ventura or in their lot for free. They do take reservation and accommodate a variety of occasions. All the pizza is a yes, the mac and cheese is the best and don't even get my started on my favorite dish - Baked Lasagna, which I sometimes order with added tempeh bacon. It's walnut pesto, marinara, cashew ricotta, spinach, and brown rice pasta topped w/cashew cheese and like a large portion of their menu is gluten free. Sun Dynamite Dragon Rolls w/ sweet siracusa mayo sauce are out of this world - thick cut six pieces or more worth your pallet to explore. BBQ "Chicken" Salad is flavor, rich, filling and eye catching #ThatPresentation You will want to eat those Crab Cakes all day as well as the Daring Pot Pie. Apple (Juice) Hot Toddy, more please! You can do Brunch Saturday or Sunday from 10am to 330pm #WeekendFunday Dine for dinner, lunch, date night, family time and holidays. A great one Valentine's Day (see you for the next one) and birthdays #LetsCelebrate Amazing selection of beverages including wine, brews, buchas, beers, smoothies, cocktails, juices, coffees as well as teas (both hot or cold options). Happy Hour is a must - 3 to 7pm during the week with extended HH until close (1130p) on Mondays and Wednesdays only. Desserts are decadent as can be (save room) and practically exuding #TryMe You have your choice of dining inside with modern inviting rustic coziness or outside among the outdoor oasis of plants, shade and good temps even when cold they have great heat lamps and a gorgeous long fire pit. No matter what you try you'll have great service, good vibes and a great time. Q Tips: Gender neutral bathrooms for use inside and some bar seating for those sip and relax times. Patience is powerful and sometimes even when not as busy SunCafe does their best to take a beat and get back on track, but also they want you to enjoy your company and experience. ”
